Adult
Sunday School Co-ordinator

Purpose: To lead and organize educational experiences for adults before
worship service each week from September to June.

The Christian Education Committee is responsible for ...
a) Sunday School, for children from preschool to youth. This involves
finding teachers and resource people, as well as choosing and ordering
curriculum.
b) Youth Advocacy - Finding adults willing to pair with youth to
act as their advocates or mentors.
c) Together with the Outreach Committee, ensuring
that Vacation Bible School is planned and run.

Church Council is the primary governing body for the congregation.
Council conducts the business of the congregation by considering items
of routine and important significance to the life of the congregation
and by reviewing the act' and decisions of the various church committees.
Church Council Chair

The Church Council Chair acts as the
congregation's administrator, chairing council and congregational meetings
and overseeing the business life of the church.
Church Council Secretary
To record minutes of council and congregational meetings.
To assure that these minutes are distributed promptly
to the council members and the congregation.
To maintain minutes of all council and congregational meetings.
To submit copies of all correspondence, minutes and reports, etc, to the
church historian.
Review job description annually and submit revisions to council for approval.
Fellowship

The Fellowship Committee is responsible for fostering the
fellowship life of the congregation by promoting a variety of inclusive
activities.
Gift
Discernment Committee

To provide the congregation with "personnel"
services, identifying individual gifts and interests and matching those
persons with the needs of congregational boards and committees;
To work with individuals in leadership and skill development for work
in the congregation,
To discern the relation between congregational structures and personal
gifts, with an eye to suggesting congregational structural changes;
To work with committees to develop good committee processes.
Historian
Aubrey Wilkinson
To make certain that all records of past history are carefully
kept. To instill in the present congregation a real interest and knowledge
of the Danforth Church's very unique history.
Librarian\Assistant Librarian

Salome Harrison
To make available current significant books of inspiration,
Biblical books, or of humanitarian/pacifist content and to encourage reading
of these books.
Outreach

envision, set goals, plan and direct the congregation's outreach programs.
MVS
Committee

To manage the MVS component
of our church life. To envision, set goals, plan and direct & maintain
this program.

Sunday School program for our young people from infancy to the end of
their teen years.
Treasurer and Finance Committee

To conduct the financial business of the congregation.
This will include financial planning and the collection, recording and
spending of the money.

The Trustees are responsible for the maintenance, upkeep
and security of the building and grounds. They are responsible for arranging
weekly and seasonal church cleaning.
Chief Usher/Assistant Ushers

To provide a presence to help with offering, geeting and
seating arrangements before and during worship service.
Worship Committee

To give leadership for our congregational worship life
by planning for and reflecting upon our regular and special worship events.
Youth Advocate Co-ordinator
To foster and manage the Youth Advocacy program wherein
youth in the congregation are provided with resources in the growth processes
through a relationship with an adult advocate. Eligible youth are aged
11 to 18.
