Evangelical Asian Church was started in 1989 as a church
plant of the Ontario Mennoinite Brethren Conference. The pastoral couple
is Rev. Sarwar and Pia Din.
Attendance at the church ranges from about 100 to 150
people, mostly from the Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi speaking background,
Services are conducted in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.
For approximately ten years the church has been reaching
out to Asians in Canada through television ministry on Vision TV on
Tuesday mornings at 6:30. Through the televised services, subtitled
in English, the gospel is shared with many Asians who would probably
never attend a church where the Christian faith is taught.
