Lazarus Rising works toward a Mennonite presence on the streets of Toronto.

We thank those musicians who provide dinner music at the Out of the Cold projects, and to Rouge Valley Mennonite Church who have opened their facility to homeless "guests" once a week. Somehow, while seeking to ease the burden of homelessness, we must keep striving for justice for the poor.

TUMC member Doug Johnson Hatlem serves as a street chaplain with Lazarus Rising, in partnership with Sanctuary. Lazarus Rising is also exploring the idea of purchasing a building to provide housing and extend its ministry.
